Background-

Rural services group H+H has united its businesses under one brand called One H+H, giving farmers and landowners easier access to its full range of services. The launch follows a major restructuring.

The new identity brings together Harrison & Hetherington, H&H Land & Estates and H&H Insurance Brokers under the slogan Rural Matters. The legal entities stay in place, but the group now runs as one organization.

Chief executive Richard Rankin said the move caps about three years of planning and an 18-month consultation with staff, customers, shareholders and other stakeholders. He said the single brand joins up a structure that had grown in separate parts over time, and it helps customers see everything H+H offers.

H+H employs more than 330 staff across southern Scotland and northern England. Its operations cover livestock marketing, machinery sales, land and property management, insurance broking, financial services, environmental advice and rural consultancy. Rankin said clients often need help in several areas at once, such as succession or farm investment, so the group now joins that expertise together.

He added that the structure is scalable, letting H+H grow services and add specialist areas without reworking the organization. A new sales and operations management structure also improves teamwork between departments and gives staff clearer career paths.

Research among customers, employees, shareholders and industry stakeholders shaped the Rural Matters message, which keeps the group focused on rural businesses and communities.
